The Unreal Engine


First launched in 1998 alongside it's namesake game, Unreal has been powering everything from AAA releases to indie projects for almost 20 years. I've watched and dabbled with it from time to time, and it even saved my degree in a roundabout way.

Arma 3


The sun rises on the Mediterranean Island of Altis. The beauty of the hilly terrain surrounded by crystal clear waters is peppered with small whitewashed cottages, a town equally quaint here and there.

But the beauty of our surroundings is of no concern to us on this day. My squad, or what remains of us, are soldiers, and this island is enemy territory. It swarms with Infantry, Land and Air vehicles, each one carrying ammunition, and within that ammunition, somewhere, are six individual bullets with our names on.

Cancer, Cardiff, and Catherine



This blog started life as the ramblings of a gaming geek living in the past, only to quickly die for about a year. Well, after checking in and seeing the old posts still getting pageviews, I figured I'd get back to it. And what better way to do that than to go completely off topic about my past year, paying special attention to a bollock that decided it wanted to kill me?
